Lost in Time (MS-DOS)

Wow, that's a terrible looking logo. This is by Coktel Vision so I'll be surprised if it isn't an adventure game.

Short Circuit (ZX Spectrum) - Guest Post

I know this one from when I owned it on cassette as a kid, and that's why I'm glad poor mecha-neko played it instead of me.

Because we all need a bit more input.

Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge (GB)

Not to be confused with Castlevania II: Simon's Quest on the NES.

15 years after the first Game Boy Castlevania, Christopher Belmont finds that his son has been kidnapped by Dracula and turned into a demon. This makes him a very unhappy Belmont, and he sets off on a roaring rampage of retribution.

Crash Team Racing (PSX)

You're jumping the gun a bit there aren't you Crash? Shouldn't we have the race first before you award yourself the trophy?

TimeShift (Demo) (PC) - Guest Post

In the early 21st century, Saber Interactive created a first person shooter named TimeShift for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Little did everybody know that this TimeShift was not the first. Before the 2007 game, another TimeShift was nearing completion, with demos of it released in early 2006. Shortly after, this TimeShift and its characters, setting, weapons and plot were all completely erased from history due to their being absolutely pants.

We are going to undo that event.

Blodia (TurboGrafx-16)

I get the feeling that this one isn't going to be pushing the TurboGrafx to its limits.

The title made me think it could be a shoot 'em up or an RPG, but it's obviously going to be a puzzle game.

Evolution: Eternal Dungeons (NGPC)

Evolution... I think I've seen one of these on the Dreamcast, though I don't remember anything about it but lots of talking and running between houses. I expect there's probably dungeons in it too.

One Must Fall 2097 (MS-DOS)

No relation to WipEout 2097 and X-Kaliber 2097 I assume.

Like Xenophage, the similarly PC exclusive mid-90s fighter I played earlier, One Must Fall 2097 is now free to download! The official site's long dead but you can find downloads at fan sites like X-Bot's OMF Universe, or www.omf2097.com.

Fears (Amiga) - Guest Post

Hey mecha-neko! If you're such a big Amiga buff, why don't you show us an Amiga FPS?

I'll share with you Fears...

Kabuki: Quantum Fighter (NES)

Kabuki and quantum, two words I never thought I'd see next to each other.

Trolls (Amiga)

Actually I've changed my mind, I don't want to play this any more.

Hey is that the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland on the back left? With... his shirt hanging half-open?

Bastion (PC) - Guest Post

This game is Bastion by SupergiantGames https://supergiantgames.com/ and you can find it on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/107100.

Whirlo (SNES)

It's called 'Whirlo'? Oh, and look, a carrot. This is going to be a cute platformer where I play as a bunny, right?

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PC)

A super-sized look at the fourth game in the main Elder Scrolls series! No mods, no graphical enhancements. Just pure, straight out of the box Oblivion.

I have played this one before, but I never did finish it. If I remember right I mostly hid out in the Arena until I ran out of enemies to fight, then got bored with it.

Interpose (MS-DOS) - Guest Post

Hello again! Would you like to see a really cool game?

This is Interpose, a 90s horizontally scrolling shoot-'em-up made by madcap Norwegian demo-scene group Twilight Zone gone straight.

Let me tell you a story.

Castlevania: The Adventure (GB)

The first Castlevania game released on a handheld system, and I'm guessing not the best of them. But you never know, I could be wrong.

Pu-Li-Ru-La (FM Towns Marty)

PuLiRuLa was originally an arcade game, then it also got ported to the Saturn, PlayStation, and PlayStation 2. But I'm going to play the FM Towns version because I'm curious.

Metroid (NES)

Apparently Metroid is a portmanteau of the words "metro" and "android". Though that doesn't really explain anything.
